Beneath the Stars

(A Girl’s Wondering Heart)

She lays on the ground, eyes to the sky,

A girl beneath the stars, letting time pass by.

The cool earth cradles her quiet frame,

As she wonders, softly, without a name.

The stars above are old and bright,

But in her chest, they spark new light.

She thinks of her life, like the endless skies,

So many questions in her wondering eyes.

Who am I, beneath these ancient flames?

Where am I going in this nameless game?

Do the stars hold answers, tucked away,

In constellations that silently sway?

The night wraps her in its cosmic thread,

And fills her with dreams of what lies ahead.

She feels so small, yet vast inside,

As if the stars mirror her soul's tide.

Her heart beats slow, her mind runs fast,

Thinking of futures, and things that won’t last.

Is she just a flicker in time’s endless sweep?

Or will she leave footprints the stars will keep?

She breathes in deep, the sky feels close,

As if her soul could lift, like a drifting ghost.

Beneath the stars, she feels alive,

A girl with dreams, ready to thrive.

The universe above, so far, so wide,

Yet here she is, connected inside.

With the stars as her guide, her fears take flight,

For beneath them, she feels—everything’s alright.
